Black Stone Candlesticks - 09

Hand built and heavily textured black stoneware candlesticks with a matt white glaze applied in variable thickness to reveal the rich texture and variation of the surface markings. The iron oxide in the clay reacts with the white glaze producing a beautifully textural pitted surface.
